"...I am supporting him because under his regime, I can easily practice corruption in government since he will not even understand what is going on, let alone take action against me and the battalion of corrupt colleagues.
After all, as long as I grow my potbelly under his regime, I care less whether Liberia lives or dies.…..” |
You think I don’t know that electing him is like deciding to score a “D” when I could easily score an “A”?
Of course, I know.
But I am supporting him because he is the only one I can easily manipulate to achieve my hidden agenda.
After all, if the common people refuse to learn from their mistakes of 1980 and 1997, the best thing I can do is to take advantage of the situation.
You think I don’t know that electing him will be like asking a carpenter to perform surgery on my dying mother?
Of course, I know.
But I am supporting him because under his regime, I can easily practice corruption in government since he will not even understand what is going on, let alone take action against me and the battalion of corrupt colleagues.
After all, as long as I grow my potbelly under his regime, I care less whether Liberia lives or dies.
You think I don’t know that electing him is like asking a student who cannot solve “one” plus “one” to solve a complex Calculus problem?
Of course, I know.
But as you know, I am very incompetent to hold any position in any competent government, but I am sure that he will give me the fat job I want because he knows that I know more than he knows.
You think I don’t know that electing him is like asking someone who knows nothing about piloting to pilot a plane of 3 million people amidst turbulent weather?
Of course, I know.
But what benefit do I get for loving the country and standing for principles?
After all, I only have to make myself very rich very fast under his government and sneak out of the country as soon as I realize that the plane he is piloting is about to crash.
You think I don’t know that electing him is like asking someone with paralyzed arms to mind the goal for Lone Star in a World Cup Qualifier?
Of course, I know.
But you know, I love to gamble too much and electing him is the biggest gamble I can ever play with the future of Liberia!
